Our imperfection is one God’s greatest strategies against the enemy. God could have decided that when Jesus died and rose, all who believed in Him would instantly become perfect, but He didn’t. Why?
Because our imperfections are some of His most powerful weapons against darkness. If we were perfect it would be all too clear to the enemy, but because we are imperfect, the enemy is much more easily fooled – he makes plans without knowing which way we will actually go.
The beautiful thing is that whichever way we go, we win. Perfection will win. Imperfection will win. Whatever is in-between will win. Because when we are weak, then He (God) is strong. He likes to use the foolish things to dumbfound the wise.
I am persuaded that our imperfection is more of a tool to fool the enemy and confuse his plans than it is anything else. He cannot make clear plans because we are an imperfect people relying on a perfect Father. It’s brilliant!
